teacher
Mariel started dancing Lindy Hop in 2004, when she was 14. Since that time she dedicated herself to dance Lindy Hop, Authentic Jazz and Tap, learning at the same time other different dance styles and incorporating different elements that defined her personal style.
She also studied music at the Superior Conservatory Manuel de Falla and later on she focused her training in swing music, learning piano, clarinet, drums and singing. Her musical training is reflected in her highly rhythmic dancing style, which has made her an expert in teaching various aspects of music theory applied to Swing dance. She is the dancer of the Argentinian band Hot Shooters and she has her own project as a dancer and singer with Swing City House Band.
Alongside Manuel Bicain, she is co-founder and co-director of Swing City, the first Lindy Hop, Authentic Jazz and Tap school in Argentina and Swing City Jazz Club. Also, she is co-producer of CA.PO.S, (the Buenos Aires Swing Dance Championships).
Mariel teaches regular classes in Swing City and workshops in several countries around the world, and she is one of the main well known dancers in South America.
